Welcome to Reeves Amplification |
|
At Reeves Amplification, we believe that while there are many amplifier choices on the market today, some discriminating players still prefer the classic British designs of the Dave Reeves HIWATT™ era. These amps were known for their legendary mil-spec build quality and peerless reliability, and of course for their unique tone unlike any other amp back then or since. With this in mind, Reeves Amplification has put out the Custom line of hand wired tube amplifiers built to these same lofty standards. Our amps are hand built with the highest quality components available and wired by hand. Our cabinets are constructed of 13-ply Baltic Birch for tone and durability. No circuit boards, no pressed boards, no short cuts, no compromises. Thanks for visiting Reeves Amplification. |

New Reeves R1x12W Cabinet |
July 1, this cab is on sale for $597 (regular price $649).
The Reeves R1x12W extension cabinet utilizes the Port City Wave technology of deflecting internal sound waves of the speaker. How this is accomplished is by using two angled deflecting panels, at the top and bottom of the cabinet, directing speaker back pressure towards the angled slot opening at the bottom of the cabinet. With this type of speaker cabinet configuration you get a much more articulate and "bigger" tone...notes have more detail with better low frequency response. The Custom 'Jimmy' is a faithful recreation of Page's Hiwatt amp that he used circa 1969 - 1971. Constructed to the exact same specifications as Dave Reeves' original HIWATT design with Partridge replica transformers, input, balance , bass, middle, treble, presence and master volume controls. Like all Reeves Amplifiers, the Custom 'Jimmy' is entirely hand assembled using only the finest quality components-carbon composition resistors, STK and MOJO "Dijon" coupling caps assembled on a Garolite turret board utilizing "Mil-Spec" wiring techniques. |

Custom 18 Earns a Guitar Player Editor's Pick Award |
"The Custom 18 was easily loud enough to use with a band, delivering a voracious palette of tones that respond beautifully to changes in guitar volume and/or pick intensity. In non-boost mode, the Gain control can be dialed to produce everything from sparkling clean rhythm textures to overdriven sounds with plenty of sustain for solos." Read the full review |
